Protest against municipal administrative sanctions

In Brussels 1.500 people, mainly young students, gathered to protest against municipal administrative sanctions. These sanctions – in most cases fines that can go up to €350 – let municipalities determin and punish “disturbing behaviour”, without an intervention of the judiciary. The protest against this law – which is by many considered a repressive measure – has been growing: trade unions, youth organisations and movements (like the Scout Movement) participated in this demonstration. Some want this law to be banned, other find that “disturbing behaviour” should be defined more accurately and others find the minimum age (14 at the moment) should be raised.
